For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
tcl : installing tcl extention

Posted by reenee (reenee), 30 July 2004
When installing tcl extention package or TEA, the configure file will search for ../tclConfig.sh file.  Since I can't find the ../tclConfig.sh in my Unix machine, is it possible to install the extention package in a new directory? If it's possible, how can do that?
Kindly help... Thank you.

I've left off answering for a couple of days as this isn't really something I can talk on from experience ... I was hoping that someone else might jump in.  However - it's one of those questions that's probably a bit too specialist for many people to know the answer ... and the advise has to be (a) read the docs and (b) try it out.   Most software these days configures automatically to a set of defaults if you don't supply user config files which is (educated guess) what you have happening at the moment.  It's likely that you can simply create the file and put in  it the changes from default that you need.
