For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Re: need some help

Sadly, I don't think I can help.   dccsend is a new one on me - I suspect that it's a command defined in the eggdrop bot software that you were asking about in a previous thread, and which I don't really know anything about.  Is there an eggdrop forum? You might get better help and assistance there from people who know and use the bot.

Tcl is a language that was designed to be embedded within other applications, to provide them with a programming and tailoring capability - and it fulfills this design role excellently .... with the result that there are many, many embedded applications and no one person can know more than a small proportion.  I'm delighted to help with questions on Tcl itself, on Tk, on Expect, and on some of the megawidgit packages here; for support on other extensions and uses, perhaps it's best to start with the extension or application's FAQ.

P.S.  Looks like some sort of file permission or authorisation problem judging by your message.   Does myfile.txt exist?  In the right place? Is it readable / writable by the user running the code?

If you're a bit puzzled by the above post .... the original author has delete his question

Even if we suggest sources away from this site which may be a better help that we can be, please don't delete your posts ... others may wonder about "dccsend" in the future, and it's great if the question / answer sequence remains here to help them as I hope it helped you.
