For 2021 - online Python 3 training - see ((here)).

Our plans were to retire in summer 2020 and see the world, but Coronavirus has lead us into a lot of lockdown programming in Python 3 and PHP 7.
We can now offer tailored online training - small groups, real tutors - works really well for groups of 4 to 14 delegates. Anywhere in the world; course language English.

Please ask about private 'maintenance' training for Python 2, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, etc.
How to clear out the expect_out(buffer)

Posted by doublea1535 (doublea1535), 1 September 2006
I would like to empty out the expect_out(buffer). I searched on the web and found a .ppt that states you can do this with ...

expect -re {.*} {}

Not getting it to work. Also tried setting the variable to null. I am wondering if I would have to clear each element of the array?

That will clear it out ... but if data's still coming in, then it will refill again. Look for the final string up to which you want to clear it.
