For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
HELP! (Please)

Posted by jayhawker (jayhawker), 28 October 2004
I am trying to log into a web page using the http::geturl command. The first thing that happens when I go to the URL is a box will pop up and ask me for my username and my password.

I need some way to enter my username and password through the script I am running so I can get the actual URL and do what I need to do.

I'm pretty new to TCL and am working off someone else's code. Any help would be appreciated.

You can go to https://secure.orderprocessing.net/stage/honeywell

to see what I mean,

I'm out of the office today, but I'll come back and have a look at this over the weekend.  Not tooo sure that I fully "get" the question / environment details, but perhaps the link will tell me

Hello Jayhawker.

Would it be possible for you to post the problem and the solution please.
This board gets many visits from users via search engines and I'm sure your problem => solution would be a benefit to others.

Thanks in advance.
