For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Display history of Script file

Hello,
Does any one know whether it is possible to display the lines that was executed in a script file

Do you mean like the tcov and prof coverage that (use to?) be possible under the C compiler on Solaris?

Graham,
I have never used C Compiler on Solaris. So i am not sure if that's what you mean.

Basically, what i mean is say i have a script with 10 lines. And i should want to display all 10 lines as i run the script (.tcl). Is that possible?

Ah ... good job I asked. Those other tools tell you after a run of the code which parts ran (and how many times) rather than giving you a dynamic report.   I'm clearer now ... I don't know that it can be done but I'll have a root around in some places and information I've got here!

Hi Graham,
I was looking through and i realise there is a command "consoleinterp record <script>"
I was wondering if this could be relevant. However, when i tried to key it into my console, it said that it is an invalid command.
I am wondering if this could be platform dependent.
Thank you.
