Calling expect from bash (or other shell)

Posted by doublea1535 (doublea1535), 18 August 2006
I am calling expect from within bash and would like to to access variables defined in the bash script from within expect.

This works:

---
#!/bin/bash
var=testvar

expect -c "
puts $var
"
---

You can use the array env to pick up your environment variables
