Serial port 'pretends' to work!

Posted by rpmorrow (rpmorrow), 24 October 2007
Hi,

I have written a program which uses a serial port on a Windows PC. It used to send an recieve fine, but now it won't. I haven't changed the comms code and it throws no exeptions so it's pretty strange.

The only clue I have is that the file handle given by [open com4: r+] is diferent.
When working it shows as "filee145d0"
When not is shows as "filee64048"

When it's not working, the command is within a procedure, but no errors are shown and nothing shows with the -laserror thing either.

Does anyone know what would cause this?

Cheers, Rich
