Expect and Win2K Pro: install error Posted by Dimon (Dimon), 27 October 2005 Hi allI have a Tcl/Tk 8.4.2 compiled by myself on my machine, operating system is Win2K Pro. When I have download Expect for Windows from ActiveState site and try to install it, the setup process was interrupted with message: "No installation of Tcl Dev Kit or ActiveTcl found. It is not possible to install Expect for Windows." Is it mean I cannot use Expect library for Windows with Tcl compiled by myself without Tcl Dev Kit? (I use standalone ActiveState Komodo to debug). If I mistaking, how to install Expect correctly with described conditions? Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 27 October 2005 I am suspecting that Expect for Windows from ActiveState is specifically configured to work with their build of Tcl ... in fact, it states that you need either ActiveState or Tcl Dev Kit.
