suppose i have an input like

aaaa bbbb cccc
aaaa bbbb cccc
aaaa bbbb cccc
aaaa bbbb 2cccc
aaaa bbbb 2cccc
aaaa bbbb cccc
aaaa bbbb cccc
aaaa bbbb cccc

How can i remove the extra 2 from the 3rd column. Spacing n alll have to be fixed.
so i need to replace 2 with a space.

$line =~ tr/2/ /;

(there's a space between the final two slashes)
