CHMOD query Posted by TedH (TedH), 24 March 2007 Hi Graham et al, how's things?I have this idea but don't know if such a thing is possible. A perl script which CHMODs itself. It's for a setup script I'm planning and I want to idiot proof it. Can that be done? cheers - Ted Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 25 March 2007 Yes - no reason why it won't work. I guess you've got an executable script that is to be run once then won't execute again?Posted by TedH (TedH), 25 March 2007 Hi Graham, that's the plan. A setup script would run and do it's stuff and then be discarded. I figure the less a novice has to do, the less they can mess up. It's aimed at the point and click crowd (at lowest level). Makes life easier for me too ![]() This page is a thread posted to the opentalk forum
