For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Please find me a solution with this problem

Hi,

I am facing problem in stripping attachements in my outlook mailbox.

The main objective of my project is to open the mails and the attachments and print both to my local printer.

I am able to print in Dos prompt up to body of message but not able to print to my local printer.

Please kindly suggest me, here is my code which is printing upto body of message in Dos prompt, but giving an exception
as [Win32:LE=HASH(0x2194b880], When I read or open attachment and I even used various modules
but of no use.

use File::Basename;
use File:ath;
use Getopt::Std;
use Time::localtime;
use Net::FTP;
#use strict;
use lib qw(lib);
use Mail:utlook;
use File::Copy;
#use Mail::Message;
use Mail::Message::Attachment::Stripper;
use Win32:LE qw(in with);
use Win32:LE::Const 'Microsoft Excel';
use Win32:LE qw(in with);

my $mail = new Mail:utlook();
die "Cannot create mail object\n"      unless $mail;

my $folder = $mail->folder('Inbox');
die "Cannot create folder object\n"      unless $folder;

my $message = $folder->first;

printf "[first]\nFrom: [%s]\n\n", $message->SenderName();
printf "To: [%s]\nSubject: [%s]\n", $message->To(), $message->Subject();
printf "Attachment: [%s]\n\n",$message->Attachments();
printf "Body: [%s]\n\n",$message->Body();

while($message = $folder->next){

printf "[first]\nFrom: [%s]\n\n", $message->SenderName();
printf "[next]\nTo: [%s]\nSubject: [%s]\n", $message->To(), $message->Subject();

printf "Attachments: [%s]\n\n",$message->Attachments();
printf "Body: [%s]\n\n",$message->Body();

print "*************************************************************\n";

}

Thanks,
Santhosh.
