Retain the data on "Back Button " click of Browser

Posted by chetanasystems (chetanasystems), 5 February 2008
HI....I have 2 drop down lists of which the second is dependent on the selection of first one. I have a "Continue" button which redirects to next page. When on next page I click the back button of the browser I wish the data I have selected to be retained . Please suggest me a way for this....

The browser's back button overrides anything you have filled in ... I would suggest that you use Javascript to lt the server know when you change your pulldown.

A question - "why?".  I don't expect your users will anticipate this unusual behaviour if you program it!
