PHP & Prolog Posted by Garrie (Garrie), 11 May 2004 Hello,Is it possible to use Prolog (or some other similar language) with PHP? This is more out of interest rather than for a specific problem. Regards, Garrie Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 14 May 2004 You could always use shell_exec or the backtick operator in PHP to run a program in Prolog (or in any other language). proc_open (from PHP 4.3.0 onwards) or popen might also be alternatives. I'm not sure whether that's too "loose coupled" from PHP for what you were asking.I did a bit of a search (and found LOTS of lists of languages that included both PHP and Prolog!) but I did came up with http://www.mail-archive.com/alicebot-general@list.alicebot.org/msg06316.html which might be worth further research - personally, I don't know alice.
