For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Looking for a freelance PHP/MySQL programmer

Posted by rob_d (Rob Drayson), 26 February 2006
Hi

I am a designer, based in Southampton, who is about to embark on a web project for a global language and cross-cultural training company, expecting to start building in about one month. I previously worked in Portugal for http://www.cultureactive.com as a programmer/designer.

I am looking for a person to work with me on this project with good PHP/MySql programming skills - the site may consist of a private forum, password protected alumni pages, a download section for staff and, possibly but not likely, online sales of publications.

I should also mention a that a basic content management interface will also be required for articles and photos.

Please feel free to contact me directly or via this post for more details.

Note to readers - Rob asked / I suggested that he post this here on "Opentalk".   As a training company, Well House Consultants cannot act as a recruitment agency too since there would be conflict of interest issues.  However, I don't object to a single post on one of the boards such as this.

Rob - I think there are a couple of regular contractors in your neck of the woods who pop by here from time to time.
