For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))

I'm  definately interested in this, my interest areas are quite narrowly Perl, PHP & MySQL and would love to see the new features of PHP5 and the proposed features of Perl 6. (Though my database knowledge could be improved by using the new features of MySQL 4)

I'm very much in the "Don't know if I can make it" camp at the moment (kids!) but will do my utmost.

Would be good to see some of the other names that appear on this BB, particularly Custard who's been very helpful in the past.

Am I allowed to post that Custard has already sent me an email expressing interest, or is that disclosing a confidence??

Understand the kids / whole weekend / booking issue - there's a welcome too for anyone who can't make it for the whole time - but I can't guarantee that we'll be able to offer public transport pick ups / drop offs except at the very beginning or end.

After reading what you posted I realise I should have emailed instead....oops.

No hassle ... email, posts ... I can pick up and correlate possibles, probables and definites from any source

I'm in Ireland this week, but back for a week from Monday ... I'll be dropping an e-invite out to a few more good friends who, however, don't post here very often and we should get an interesting gathering and day!

Where does the horse fit in?

It would be highly difficult to fit a horse into our training centre, wouldn't it?

A couple of months back, I started to write a daily "Blog" - a sort of online diary.  I come across useful commands / functions / snippets on a daily basis and started documenting them - helps to build up a reminder resource for me and others. But what to call it; the best we came up with was "The Horse's Mouth". Scroll down the item announcing the Technical Weekend, and you'll find links to the latest articles.
