For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
AMENDMENT to user agreement.

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 19 March 2006
I have added the following to our user agreement:

You also agree to register only one account on this forum, and not to post under several different user names either concurrently or at different times.

I've always felt that it's not a good idea for the same person to sign up for a forum under two different names. I've seen maverics arguing with themselves in an attempt to draw others into a flame war on other boards, and I've seen people wishing to have two "persona" - to both have their cake and eat it- again, that's elsewhere and not here.

However, even if there is no malicious intent, registering a second name confuses the other members of the board and misleads them so I'm putting this slight tightening of the rules in place.

The agreement change comes into immediate effect, and so no second accounts can be registered as from now.  I know of at least one "double account" member - if anyone with such accounts could email me (graham@wellho.net) I'll be delighted to conbine their existing posts under one name. Oh - and that will help you get your posting status raised all the quicker as well as earning my gratitude for helping clear up a couple of confusions.

P.S.  If you were thinking of registering for a new account because you've forgotten your password, please remember that you can have your password emailed to your registered account. And you could email the adminstrator if you've forgotten your email address too
