PHP and Web Standards Conference (20040221 BB4)

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 12 February 2004
An interesting looking UK conference - see   Runs 20th to 23rd Feb (over the weekend) in Bolton;  I'm planning to attend on the Sunday to get into the new object model in PHP5 and to meet a few folks.  Then I'm on the overnight ferry to Dublin to run a Perl course there starting on Monday morning!

The PaWScon organiser has told everyone who had booked that the hotel screwed up, but he's not at liberty to explain further.

The hotel has told me that they contacted the organiser on 17th to ask about final numbers and he told them he didn't have enough takers and he was cancelling the event.

I think they should have agreed their stories if they're hoping for people to come along in late September which has been slated as a new date for the conference
