For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
PHP and Web Standards Conference (20040221 BB4)

Posted by admin (Graham Ellis), 12 February 2004
An interesting looking UK conference - see http://www.pawscon.com.   Runs 20th to 23rd Feb (over the weekend) in Bolton;  I'm planning to attend on the Sunday to get into the new object model in PHP5 and to meet a few folks.  Then I'm on the overnight ferry to Dublin to run a Perl course there starting on Monday morning!

Conference cancelled .... more to follow ....

The PaWScon organiser has told everyone who had booked that the hotel screwed up, but he's not at liberty to explain further.

The hotel has told me that they contacted the organiser on 17th to ask about final numbers and he told them he didn't have enough takers and he was cancelling the event.

I think they should have agreed their stories if they're hoping for people to come along in late September which has been slated as a new date for the conference
