Senior Software Developer (Python)
Up to 55K

This is a very RARE and FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY for an experienced and highly talented PYTHON DEVELOPER to join the team responsible for a service our Client provides, which is a box office and cinema operations system.  You will be working for one of Europes leading provider of digital film distribution services to the cinema, to the home and between industry players.

This team's responsibilities include:
o      Implementing new features in the existing suite of products such as the application servers, the touch-screen point of sale application, the web based back office and the consumer facing web sales system.
o      Designing and building new applications to integrate into the system, such as mobile ticketing and automated phone booking systems.

o      BSc/BA or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or other engineering discipline.
o      5+ years experience.
o      Extremely strong analytical and software engineering skills.
o      Excellent PYTHON skills.
o      Very strong knowledge of SQL and experience of developing database driven applications.
o      Solid knowledge of and experience using HTML and CSS.
o      Knowledge and experience of XML and related technologies (such as Xpath and XSLT).

Desired skills:
o      Experience using PYTHON to develop web applications (preferably using CherryPy).
o      Experience using PYTHON to develop GUI applications (preferably using wxPython).
o      Client-side scripting using DHTML and Javascript.
o      Knowledge of developing with and administering MS SQL Server and related technologies such as MS Reporting Services.
o      Experience developing software applications for the retail or cinema industry a bonus.
