For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))

Maplecroft has an immediate requirement for a software engineer to help further develop an information portal for social and environmental performance management.

The requirement is for a highly skilled software engineer, with extensive experience of complex mixed environment applications.

Technologies with which you should be completely comfortable include:

Linux, Windows, C, Perl, HTML, php, MySQL, Oracle, PDF(Forms), Postscript, Apache, Flash and Access.

Maplecroft is based in Wiltshire (near Bath). While home working is a viable option for this role, the successful candidate will be located sufficiently close to ensure that it is easy to make frequent office visits when required.

The initial full-time contract will be for a period of 6 months, with a possibility that it will develop into a full-time role.

Please send your CV to recruitment@maplecroft.net

Board members are welcome to post "situations vacant" in this area of Opentalk for permanent or contract jobs with a significant requirement in subjects that we cover here.

Such postings are in no way connected with Well House Consultants who operate the board, who are not liable for the content posted nor any consequences thereof.

I'm sure it's fine, but I have to add the disclaimer   - Graham
