MYSQL command Line client?

Hi,

I am accessing a Linux server remotely with the following CMD line from a Win32 machine:

->MYSQL -h<ip> -u<username> -p<password>

I can create, drop, modify tables and databases fine. However I want to be able to use the "source" command on a .SQL file which is located on the Linux Server, is this possible?

I know I can use "source" when connected to localhost and the .SQL file is located on a local drive.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Kristin

"Source" is not an SQL command but rather a facility of the mysql (command line) program on the client, so it's not "naturally" going to work with a file of commands on the server.  I've had a quick look at the "MySQL cookbook" and not come up with any direct solution, but you could always FTP the file to your local host
