Bristol Castle

Bristol Castle, on Castle Green in the heart of the city, was originally a motte and bailey castle that was replaced by a more substantive building in medieval times - apart from a few remains that is gone now too.

Although the shot tower was built out of concrete as recently as 1967, it's very much a landmark and is a listed building.
