The old railway track

Between the towns of Radstock and Frome lie the villages of Kilmersdon and Mells. The old railway track has been turned into "The Colliers Way" - a cycle and horse route - but one track remains and perhaps could re-open one day?

Kilmersdon was the home to Jack and Jill (who went up the hill to fetch a pail of water) and the village celebrates this history with a well-signed hill, and with murals that tell the history of the story on the end gable of the school at the top of the hill
