Corsham Court - the grand drive

Corsham Court is a stately home that's open to the public in the summer - located just 6 miles from Melksham and well worth the trip if you're taking the opportunity of doing some Touring if you're in the area. If you park in Corsham town centre, the Court is just a few hundred yards away beside the church.

The grounds at Corsham Court were laid out by Capability Brown - wide sweeping grass pathways and great straight drives amongst magnificent mature trees, leading down to the lake.

Behind the walled garden, you'll find the Georgian Bath house. Although the Bath wasn't filled when we visited, you can just imagine how it must have felt to bathe here 200 years ago.
