There's a public footpath beside our HQ ...
Melksham is a market town in
Wiltshire ... it's home to our
Open Source training centre, and what better to do on a summer evening than walk some of the byways and tracks that criss-cross the fields.

Setting out on a walk over the fields
On warm summers evenings, you can sometimes see hot air balloons here - see out
Ballooning page for pictures we took of a balloon landing in this very field

The view back to our training centre

There is a variety of stiles on the paths
Map locator - Clackers_Brook

The path crosses the Clackers Brook
Clackers Brook can be followed to where it crossed the
the Wilts and Berks Canal in Melksham's outskirts

Walking up towards Snarleton Lane
At the top of Snarleton Lane is "The Forresters" where you can enjoy a pint and (until 8 p.m.) a meal. The walk back - perhaps taking another route over the fields or perhaps through the town.
