Tintern lies on the Welsh side of the River Wye, on a great bend in the river some 10 miles or so to the north of Chepstow. It's a tourist honey pot, famous for it Abbey ruins.

From the River Severn, the Wye flows up to Monmouth and Hereford through the valley past Tintern, where the ruins of the abbey, the old station, and much more form a tourist attraction.
