Melksham dates back to the middle ages - it was mentioned in the
Domesday book, and by 1801 had grown to be the largest town for miles around.
The Wilts and Berks canal came through at about that time, the Spa houses
were built in 1814, and the railway arrived in 1847. This map is dated 1896;
we've indicated our HQ at The Spa with a green blob on the Devizes Road, and
our Hotel at Well House Manor - an Edwardian building dating back to 1906 -
also on that road just a short distance from the canal.
Our image library data is stored in XML and parsed
by a PHP script each time this page is called. We'll teach you how to
generate pages dynamically from data in this way on our training courses -
not only do we train in the technology, but we also use it in our own
business!
