There are some remarkable people in Melksham, people who live and / or work in the town and put a great deal of time and effort into positive endeavours for the town. And it's good to see them recognised in nominations for Melksham's "Person of the year 2012" in the Melksham Independent News.
It's a strong field this year - no fewer that 14 nominations. I know (and am honoured to occasionally help alongside) a handful of them - and I would happily vote for ANY of that handful. You can read about it in the Melksham Independent News.
We love living in Melksham, and welcoming people to the town. These nominations are the tip of an iceberg of lovely people - friends, colleagues, officials and contacts who make it such a friendly place, and who help - in both visible and invisible ways - to support the town as it currently is, and to move the town positively forward so that it's going to be as good a place to live, visit, trade and work in the future as it currently is - if not better.
