| For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! Melksham - a town of some remarkable people
There are some remarkable people in Melksham, people who live and / or work in the town and put a great deal of time and effort into positive endeavours for the town. And it's good to see them recognised in nominations for Melksham's "Person of the year 2012" in the Melksham Independent News. It's a strong field this year - no fewer that 14 nominations. I know (and am honoured to occasionally help alongside) a handful of them - and I would happily vote for ANY of that handful. You can read about it in the Melksham Independent News. We love living in Melksham, and welcoming people to the town. These nominations are the tip of an iceberg of lovely people - friends, colleagues, officials and contacts who make it such a friendly place, and who help - in both visible and invisible ways - to support the town as it currently is, and to move the town positively forward so that it's going to be as good a place to live, visit, trade and work in the future as it currently is - if not better.
