This training course is designed to follow on directly after our Ruby programming courses, so you'll start HOT on Ruby, and we'll fill delegates in on database and web server background on the evening before to get a lot of Rails into a single day. We cover the general principles of Model / View / Controller style applications before going on to show you how they work in Rails. We'll use our own standard application which you can tailor to learn the various elements, then conclude the day by having you write a simple new application for yourself in which you'll start from the standard framework tools.
Attendance on either our Ruby Programming
to program in Ruby
training courses. This is not intended as a stand-alone
course, but as a follow on to your programming course if you're
going to be using Ruby within the Ruby on Rails Framework
Getting the most from your Well House Consultants course
Ruby on Rails is a framework which allows you to use Ruby on your web server / web site to present and look after data held in databases on your server. It uses the power of Ruby / Agile programming and a good structural design with lots of prewritten helpers and templates to make the construction of a new web application quicker than it has been before, the resultant application more user friendly, and the code more secure and easily maintained than if you wrote it from scratch.
