For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA

Some pictures of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA (not to be confused with Carlisle, England, or Pennsylvania near Bath, England!)

Taken during September 2008 ... see also Colvin Run Mill and Reunion, Gettysburg and Potomaccrossing

[imgr=capaplaque]Carlisle, PA - plaque[/img] A plaque to the history of the area, showing how so many of the names and places have derived from the the UK

[imgl=capachurch]Church at Carlisle, PA[/img] There's a wealth of different churches in Carlisle, all of them grand and all of them looking well and vibrant. A very religious part of the USA - itself a religious country.

[imgr=capacourthouse]Carlisle Court House, PA[/img] During our visit, the Court House was under repair but the magnificent pillars are still very much visible, including the damage from 1863 caused by a cannon ball.

[imgl=capamolly]Graveyard, Carlisle, PA[/img] Molly Pitcher, a local heroine, is commemorated in the local graveyard

[imgr=caparedhouse]South Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA[/img] Old world housing - this is NOT New England, but it's got much of that same picturesqueness

[imgl=capasidewalk]Carlisle, PA[/img] A Sidewalk scene - with the American Flag fluttering.

[imgr=capastation]Carlisle Station[/img] The railroad is freight only now, and the number of trains severely limited with the line weaving across a series of open crossings over roads.

[imgl=capastreet]Carlisle, PA[/img]A Typical Street just a short distance from the town centre
