[imgl=capachurch]Church at Carlisle, PA[/img] There's a wealth of different churches in Carlisle, all of them grand and all of them looking well and vibrant. A very religious part of the USA - itself a religious country.
[imgr=capacourthouse]Carlisle Court House, PA[/img] During our visit, the Court House was under repair but the magnificent pillars are still very much visible, including the damage from 1863 caused by a cannon ball.

[imgr=caparedhouse]South Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA[/img] Old world housing - this is NOT New England, but it's got much of that same picturesqueness

[imgr=capastation]Carlisle Station[/img] The railroad is freight only now, and the number of trains severely limited with the line weaving across a series of open crossings over roads.
