Well House Manor
For pages that tell you about Melksham and the area around, we're featuring our business hotel - Well House Manor. The majority of our clients travel a long distance for training with us, and we run this small business hotel for their comfort. Set in a quiet part of the town, yet close to the centre, we offer internet access, en suite rooms, plenty of desk space, and (of course) coffee on tap 24 x 7!


Web Site Accessibility
You can view this web site with a variety of different font sizes and colour combinations - there's no "one size fits all". This Brompton folding cycle was how one of our visitors arrived at Well House Manor, and we felt it was an appropriate symbol for accessibility.


The bus to Bath in Melksham
The Bath bus stops right outside Well House Manor, roughly every hour through the day. And there's an evening service too - the last bus back from Bath to Melksham is as late as 11 p.m.

This illustration, taken at a customer's site during a private course we ran for them, is used to illustrate our onsite course pages.


Public training course
Public Training courses, where places are booked individually for one or two delegates from a number of attending organizations, are run regularly at Well House Manor. Here is a group of people attending such a course.


Regular Expressions
We produce a regular expression mousemat and give them out to all the delegates on our courses. Regular expressions are a powerful features of most of the technologies we teach, but something that all of us need to be reminded about occasionally.

As well as public courses at our own centre, and private courses at your offices, we can run private courses at our place. Here's an example of one such PHP course, and this is the picture we use on our web site to illustrate such services.


Wiltshire Mayors
At a recent get-together in Swindon, the Mayors of Salisbury, Melksham and Chippenham posed for a picture together to show their support for the restoration of an appropriate train service across Wilshire, linking the town they were in with their towns.

Wedding accommodation - Melksham
We were delighted to welcome the happy couple and some of their relatives at Well House Manor when they got married recently. Although we're not an ideal general wedding venue (no children, no smoking, no bar!!) we are well placed if you're looking for a quiet and luxurious spot for adults to stay when they're in town to visit, or for events such as a wedding.


Duck on Shearwater
Tcl is often know as "Tickle" and the feather is used as its logo. Here is one of our feathered friends on Shearwater - a lake on the Longleat estate not far from our Melksham Hotel.


Steam Engine, P.S. Waverley
The PS Waverley (Paddle Steamer) is the last sea going paddle steamer in the world, and here is her steam engine. Although the C language has been around for many years and has been superseded in many applications, it remains at the heart of modern computing and is a vital component to this day.


PHP / Business of the year
Well House Consultants was a shortlisted finalist for the small business category in the Wiltshire Business of the Year competition - that's not bad going for our first entry, up against more than 100 other companies. Similarly, our PHP training stands out as being "a cut above".

MysQL - database for the masses
Olympia, in Greece - which we had the pleasure of visiting in the company of many other Geeks including the directors of MysQL. MysQL is a fantastic database for handling large data flows and huge amounts of storage - this text is stored in MysQL (as is the picture) and we would be delighted to tell you how on our courses.


Two systems per delegate
On server administration courses (Linux Web Server, Tomcat, LAMP) we provide not one but two systems per delegate for use during the course.

We have considerable resources to ensure that we can offer you the best, and full, training. Not only do we have one (or two) laptops per delegate, and plenty of backup information on web sites such as this, but we've also got a hotel and even vehicles in which we can offer you a lift.
