For 2021 - online Python 3 training - see ((here)).

Our plans were to retire in summer 2020 and see the world, but Coronavirus has lead us into a lot of lockdown programming in Python 3 and PHP 7.
We can now offer tailored online training - small groups, real tutors - works really well for groups of 4 to 14 delegates. Anywhere in the world; course language English.

Please ask about private 'maintenance' training for Python 2, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, etc.

Source code: fourth.c Module: Q100
#include <stdio.h>

int main() {
        float price;
        float net, tax;
        float oldvat = 15.0, newvat = 15.0;

/* Store some values in them and do some calculations */

        price = 95.0;
        dollarprice = price * 1.46;

/* Precedence - by default, multiplications and divisions are
done before additions and subtractions, but that can be changed! */

        net = price / ((100.0 + oldvat) / 100.0);
        tax = price - net;
        printf("From %.2f gross, you got %.2f net\n",price,net);
        printf("And the chancellor got %.2f\n\n",tax);

/* This looks very similar to the block of code just above so it
should probably have been written as a function - for ease of
maintenance, for example */

        net = price / ((100.0 + newvat) / 100.0);
        tax = price - net;
        printf("From %.2f gross, you got %.2f net\n",price,net);
        printf("And the chancellor got %.2f\n\n",tax);
