scripting languages from Perl to Java and from
Lua to PHP - they're all written in C. And it's
used for heavy compute and low level programming
too. Modern computing wouldn't be possible without
C - but that does not necessarily mean that YOUR
application should be written in C these days -
there may be other more effective choices.
