I was reading that the president of Google recons there's 5 million terabytes of data out there to index ... and that they're only a tiny part of the way into it. What does that look like?

5000000Tb to bytes = 5497558138880000000 Shurely? What we call a 'b*stard' number as it contains two bases. Base 10 in the 5 million and base 2 in the Terabyte part assuming that 1 Terabyte == 1 Tebibyte (2^40). At least they didn't say 5 Billion Gigabytes.. You would have to guess they mean a US billion as opposed to a UK billion ;-) US 5000000000Gb to bytes = 5368709120000000000 UK 5000000000000Gb to bytes = 5368709120000000000000 If I'm not mistaken...
