For 2021 - online Python 3 training - see ((here)).
Our plans were to retire in summer 2020 and see the world, but Coronavirus has lead us into a lot of lockdown programming in Python 3 and PHP 7. We can now offer tailored online training - small groups, real tutors - works really well for groups of 4 to 14 delegates. Anywhere in the world; course language English.
Please ask about private 'maintenance' training for Python 2, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, etc. |
A busy January
It's probably fair to say that my January has been the busiest training January ever at Well House Consultants. 3 Ruby courses in the first week, 2 privatre PHP courses in the second week, PHP techniques (public course) and a private CodeIgiter course in the third week, and Tomcat, Django and Object Oriented Perl in the final week. Public course index [here]. Courses held in Melksham, Liverpool, Preston, Salford and Elstree. And as I write this, I'm travelling up to London to start a Python course tomorrow (Monday) morning at Canary Wharf.
Perhaps we are coming out of recession? But we are seeing some signs that bigger companies are starting to squeeze smaller companies, and we seem to be working harder to get the same results. A new charge (per transaction) on credit card payments, in addition to commission, is coming in. A booking agency for hotel rooms ups its commission rate from 15% to 17%. A reseller of courses tries to ct their daily rate to us by 50 pounds. All little things that add up and will perhaps fuel further inflation. For these are not inflation based changes; they are on top of inflation - new charges, a rise (by 13% if you work it out) in hotel commission even before there's any consideration of higher prices we may charge. And trying to round down by 50 pounds is just plain naughty. (written 2014-02-02)
