For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Seed Swap at Well House Manor

Saturday was Seed Swap Day at Well House Manor. From around lunchtime, organisers arrived and sorted their seeds into a series of boxes all along the tables in the Wilts (that's our larger training room).

Boxes of root vegatables .. boxes of marrows .. boxes of fruit .. boxes of onions .. and a small box containing a single packet of seeds for Bonsai trees.

Our team at Well House Manor had been busy baking, and tea, freshbrewed coffee, and homemade cakes were on offer and went down very well - just look at the picture and you'll see how tempting they are <advert>We're open every afternoon for teas, coffees, cakes!</advert> - we bake regularly and I can assure you of a good selection. Exactly what, I don't know - we have two big groups this week and there will be fresh baking to be done.

This final picture shows the seed swap happening. And plans are already afoot for it to happen again next year. Of course, that's a long way off ... we're currently looking forward to Easter (plent of accommodation every night except Saturday), to more people through the museum that weekend, and to the arrival of the first English strawberries - probably in May - when we can restart cream teas. But - please don't wait for cream teas; we've plenty of good caked and plenty to see all year!
