For 2021 - online Python 3 training - see ((here)).

Our plans were to retire in summer 2020 and see the world, but Coronavirus has lead us into a lot of lockdown programming in Python 3 and PHP 7.
We can now offer tailored online training - small groups, real tutors - works really well for groups of 4 to 14 delegates. Anywhere in the world; course language English.

Please ask about private 'maintenance' training for Python 2, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, etc.
How well do you know Perl and / or Python?

Test your Perl knowledge

A simple little quiz that you may enjoy ... ten questions [here]. Questions good for any recent version of Perl 5 - say 5.10 and upwards, as the quiz tests your knowledge of some of the fundamentals.

The quiz was, of course, written for a purpose - to answer the question "should I come on a Perl course from the beginning?".
• If you struggle with the questions, the answer is "yes - come on Perl Programming".
• If you don't understand what most of the questions are asking, the answer is "yes - come on Learning to program in Perl".
• If you find all of the questions really easy, but still feel you could benefit from studying Perl further in a class, have a look at Perl for larger projects.
There will always be potential delegates who fall somewhere between the levels of anyone's course agenda. If you're pretty happy with some of the questions, but others concern you, please get in touch and I'll work out any training program for you on a case by case basis.

Test your Python knowledge

Another quiz, this time with a dozen questions, trying out your knowledge of Python 2.6 or 2.7 ... [here].

• If you get 'em all right, and find it easy, you don't need a basic Python course
• If you get about a half of them right, then take a look at our new Intermediate Python course; this one's running in a couple of weeks as a trial - please get in touch if you need details after that date and there's nothing showing on the website
• If you're familiar with programming, but really don't get much right on this Python quiz, have a look at Python Programming and
• If you're new to programming and the quiz looks like double Dutch to you, you'll want to come on Learning to program in Python.
