For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Changes to morning routines

You'll have noticed a drop-off in blog entries this week because it's been SO busy - even by our standards. The last Python Course before Christmas from Sunday to Wednesday has run into the last Lua Course of 2011 running from Thursday to Sunday (yes, we're up to a seven day week!). Add to that various meetings and - the big news - we formally adopted Billy on Tuesday. So now we are five! Billy has changed our morning routine somewhat - with two dogs, one of whom is very close to being a purebred greyhound, we're now out at dawn in the field behind our home.

When we get back home, the dogs stick around Lisa to make sure that they get their breakfast ...

Then it's a tough morning of frenzied activity in the lounge:

A huge "Thank you" to Gerry, Hilary, Lisa, Ali and everyone else who has done so much for Billy over the past few months; he's been brought back from the border of starving to death to a sleek and very fast animal - just a short way to go in ironing out a couple of habits, but I'm sure we'll get there.
