Yesterday was a long journey - physically and through so many different experiences and enironments - so "emotionally" if you like to put it that way - but good, planned emotions.

At Gatport Airwick - I justed like the atmosphere shot here of some woman I don't know silhouetted against the window with the aircraft backdrop.


With Well House Manor opening for cream teas in a weeks timei [link], we took the opportunity of having a full cream tea on our flight and seeing how the airline does it.


It's always exciting to look out of the aircraft window as you get near to your destination and to see the pattern of the new place you're visiting.


And when on the ground, to get the flavour for the place ever more closely as your transfer bus speeds you past local communities.


One of the small big things people to meet up with on this trip is Zyliana - our granddaughter, and to catch up with proud Dad Tyler.


And also to meet Abby - Tyler's partner and Zyliana's Mum. We had a foursome fivesome meal in the restaurant at the complex we're staying in and a really good evening to end the long day. And we're choosing to ignore the fact that we've been given a room that's right beside the reconstruction work, with our swimming pool and shuttle bsu stop closed "so that we can make for your better enjoyment in the future". Grrrr!


The walk to the main building is longish - but lovely. A change to try out the new camera with pictures of new wildlife like turles, and some familiar sites we might see at home. Rather reminds me that we're half a world away, but people are still people, and some things have a comfort level and don't change.
