The extension of houses to the East of Melksham started off the Sandridge Road at the tail end of last year, but the fields at the end of Snowberry Lane (the section to the south of Snarleton Lane) hadn't really got underway - this first picture is a Christmas one, showing just a few stakes inthe ground.

By the start of this week, things were very much changing; a similar view (not quite the same position) shows the topsoil ripped up and earth moving under way.

Where previously there was a gate at the end of Snowberry Lane, the early foundations of the extended road sweep across the field. I'm relieved to see that the curve is quite a gentle one, for this section is planned such that it might become quite a major artery in the future.
I'll be walking the fields and taking more pictures over coming months, and I'll see how the scene changes and post up more pictures here.
