For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Liverpool - a friendly city

I'm in Liverpool for a three day Python course - if October was the month of Perl then November looks set to be the month of Python

There's a certain friendlyness about Liverpool - it's very much one of those cities where, I feel, the people make the place. A cheery checkin last night, and a friendly banter with the breakfast staff this morning. And when I got to near the place I'm training (which is not well marked as it's an R&D centre rather than a public interface), the smokers standing outside the next building cheerfully directed me. Even the young lady who brought the coffee trolley around was chatty ... and seeing all the computers wanted to chat about her new broadband connection.

As well as local delegates, my group of 8 includes a Frenchman, a Russian and a Canadian. But as well as Liverpudlians being friendly and welcoming, Python course delegates are almost inevitably friendly and welcoming too - and this group is no exception. So this is going to be a really fun course that I'm enjoying already.
