We believe that the best professional public training courses are run in a facility that's designed for the purpose - not from a hotel room or shared facility where there will be inevitable compromises. And we also believe that course should be written and presented by a professional in both the IT and training fields who's a staff member - not a contractor. We believe that a public course with more that 8 trainees compromises the service we can offer to each trainee - so 8 is our maximum - and we believe that courses should NOT be cancelled, even if there's just one student. On prices, we believe that the price quoted on the website should be what you pay (we're not into discounts), but that you shouldn't have to pay until you actually receive the product - the course.

Do try us out - we run public courses such as Learning to Program in Perl / Perl Programming, PHP Programming, Python Programming and Deploying Apache and Tomcat every 2 months at our Melksham, Wiltshire training centre, and more specialist subjects from Tcl Basics to Linux Administration and from MySQL to Object Oriented Programming in PHP and C and C++ at least 3 times a year. And we're big enough to "practise what we preach" - our own training centre, our own staff, our own notes, fair pricing policies, and more.

If you're based in York, Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby or Selby (or elsewhere in the YO postcode area), you'll have a journey of about 205 miles to our training centre where we run regular courses in Python, Tcl/Tk, Ruby, C and C++, Apache/Tomcat, MySQL, PHP, Perl and Linux. Almost all of the courses are "niche products", and we believe you'll find it very hard to find the equivalent product closer to home, even though it's a bit of a journey.

The majority of our customers choose to stay over during their courses - accommodation and dining facilities in Melksham are excellent, varied and well priced. If you're coming from the York area, you'll probably want to travel to Melksham the evening before the course starts - let us know if you're coming by public transport, and we can collect you from the station and take you to your hotel. We offer a similar return service at the end of the course - you should be able to catch a train from Melksham that will get you home to York late the same evening.
