We were on the "other end" of training today - receiving a course rather than giving one. And we've now got four members of staff - that's every weekday shift covered - with someone who's taken the
Emergency first aid at work course - and passed with flying colours.
We hope that we never have to use the more intensive techniques that we've learned. But we know that our customers will be reassured that we're trained over and beyond what's required. We now meet the requirements for a company where 25 to 50 are employed on site.
Caring for customers - in many / all ways - is a crucial part of a service business such as ours. The very words "service business" or "service industry" write that large on the wall. Yet it's such a surprise how many service businesses fail to provide that quality service. It's odd, really, in the current economic climate because any business failing to provide service to its customers is likely to end up as a business that fails.
