At Well House Manor, we've now got 3 x full time staff ... and we run 2 shifts every day. So that's 14 shifts to run, with 15 sets of 8 hours to cover them. Sufficient, right? Well - it can be sufficient in the Winter, but in the holiday and activity season of the summer, it doesn't give us a depth of holiday coverage. And whilst staff are happy to work some weekend days, none of us wants to work all weekend, every weekend, after long and hard weeks.
Cutting a long story short ... there's an opportunity, in the short term, for someone to join the team to work some shifts - at least one a week all through the summer, more in some weeks. Shifts start at 06:30 (Monday to Friday), 07:30 (Saturday and Sunday) and 14:00 (all week). There's bread to cook, breakfast to prepare, guests to look after and perhaps check out. Rooms to tidy and perhaps change. Breakfast to clear, and cream teas and coffee shop to prepare. Check in packs to prepare. Cream teas to serve and clear, guests to check in and look after, and (in quite times) routine cleaning, washing and ironing. Hard work, but much more variety that you get in many hotel / catering roles. If there's anyone out there who might enjoy this work, feels they could do a good job and is reliable, has a happy and sunny disposition especially with customers, and would be interested in Saturday mornings (especially) but is flexible, please get in touch by email in the next few days. My email address is graham@wellho.net and I'm writing this on 30th May 2011.
If you have a look at our web sites -
www.wellho.net and
www.wellhousemanor.co.uk - you'll learn a lot more about us. My blog -
The Horse's Mouth - will tell you a lot about what we've been doing recently. And -
hint - a job applicant who's learned a little about the company (s)he applies to prior to applying does him/herself no harm at all.
