For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
What have these pictures in common?

Here are ten photos. They have something in common; have a look through them and see if you can work out what it is. Each of them has a link so that you can enlarge it, in a new window, up to four times (in area) its current size.

Have you any thoughts as to what these have in common? They show a river scene, a green footpath, several beautiful and historic buildings, and a quiet residential street. But a minority of them show rather less beautiful scenes - dereliction, and what can only be described as a very uninviting entrance indeed to a public facility.

They're all pictures taken within the last 24 hours ...

And they're all taken within 400 metres of Melksham's Market Place!

Gypsy and I fanced stretching our legs yesterday, and we walked beside the river, through the nature reserve, and around parts of the town that many residents might not even notice as they pass close by. We have - for the most part - a beautiful town that we should be proud of. There are things that we can do - and some are planned - to improve some of the less attractive elements but, NOW, we shouldn't be running our town down. I though I would post this little reminder here ...
