For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training.
We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk.

Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active!

I am also active in many other area and still look after a lot of web sites - you can find an index ((here))
Seeing Electricity Pylons near Melksham

With Melksham Electric Substation just to the north of the town, you can see lots of electric lines and Pylons in around the area; here they are striding off in lines up the Avon Valley towards Chippenham, following the TransWilts Railway line.

Although most people would dislike the idea of a major electrical installation in their back yard, there's a certain beauty; this picture is taken from the public footpath that skirts the north of the site. More pictures [here]. And it seems that others appreciate the beauty too - as you can see from the video that's [here].

We run a hotel in Melksham ... and we welcome guests coming to see the sights and sound of Wiltshire - that hotel is Well House Manor and we offer really superb rooms for a weekend away (and we can clean up walker's muddy boots ;-) ). There are plenty of other things to see in Wiltshire - White Horses, Stone Circles, Southern Cotswold Villages like Lacock, Locks and Canals, and pretty little towns like Bath and historic cities such as Salisbury and Bath.
