Add in the rugged North coast and the high moors of Dartmoor and Exmoor and what more could you want? Exeter is the county town of Devon.

Near Sidmouth, you'll find the Donkey Sanctuary where many mistreated and retired donkeys are looked after ... and as well as providing homes for a very large number of animals, it's a major tourist attraction too.
