| For 2023 (and 2024 ...) - we are now fully retired from IT training. We have made many, many friends over 25 years of teaching about Python, Tcl, Perl, PHP, Lua, Java, C and C++ - and MySQL, Linux and Solaris/SunOS too. Our training notes are now very much out of date, but due to upward compatability most of our examples remain operational and even relevant ad you are welcome to make us if them "as seen" and at your own risk. Lisa and I (Graham) now live in what was our training centre in Melksham - happy to meet with former delegates here - but do check ahead before coming round. We are far from inactive - rather, enjoying the times that we are retired but still healthy enough in mind and body to be active! Westbury, Wiltshire
 Westbury Station (See also Westburywhitehorse, Salisburyplain, Bradford, Bathampton, Edington, Larkhill, Steepleashton, Trowbridge Farleigh Hungerford Shearwater and Devizes) Map locator - Westbury Westbury is an important railway junction, with trains heading off in no fewer that six different directions. It's on the main London to Plymouth route, and expresses on that line call throughout the day. Local services operated by Wessex Trains leave frequently for Bath and Bristol, and for Salisbury Southamton and Portsmouth. There's also a service to Yeovil, Dorchester and Weymouth, and finally our own local line to Melksham, Chippenham and Swindon which is currently threatened with curtailment  One of Wessex trains local services  The lake near the station, Westbury The tall chimney of Westbury Cement Works is visible for miles - characteristic of this part of Wiltshire  Westbury Cement Works We don't have much about Westbury here as yet ... see this is Westbury for a lot more about it! |
