Trowbridge - Wiltshire's County Town
![]() Trowbridge old Jail Trowbridge is only 6 miles from our Melksham training centre and Hotel. Although it's the country town of Wiltshire, it's not grown anything like as much as Salisbury or Swindon and these days it's a typical Wiltshire town with a variety of residential and light industrial areas. Today, his contribution is celebrated in the town through several memorial plaques - and also by the JD Wetherspoon's pub known as the "Isaac Pitman", and situated in the old Market House. If we're in Trowbridge and want a quick and very reasonably priced meal, "The Pitman"'s often our choice. Just up the road from Trowbridge, you'll find Bradford, Westbury and Steepleashton. Heading away from Melksham, you'll get to Farleigh Hungerford just into the neighbouring county of Somerset, then to Frome or Radstock OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO YOU
