Duck on Shearwater
Tcl is often know as "Tickle" and the feather is used as its logo. Here is one of our feathered friends on Shearwater - a lake on the Longleat estate not far from our Melksham Hotel.


Steam Engine, P.S. Waverley
The PS Waverley (Paddle Steamer) is the last se going paddle steamer in the world, and here is her staem engine. Although the C language has been around for many years and has been supreceeeded in many applications, it remains at the heart of modern computing and is a vital component to this day.


PHP / Business of the year
Well House Consultants was a shortlisted finalist for the small business category in the Wiltshire Business of the Year competition - that's not bad going for our first entry, up against more than 100 other companies. Similarly, our PHP training stands out as being "a cut above".

MysQL.html>MysQL - database for the masses
Olympia, in Greece - which we had the pleasure of visiting in the company of many other Geeks including the directors of MysQL. MysQL is a fantastic database for handling large data flows and huge amounts of storage - this text is stored in MysQL (as is the picture) and we would be delighted to tell you how on our courses.


Two systems per delegate
On server adminsitration courses (Linux Web Server, Tomcat, LAMP) we provide not one but two systems per delage for use during the course.

We have considerable resources to ensure that we can offer you the best, and full, training. Not only do we have one (or two) laptops per delegate, and plenty of backup information ion web sites such as this, but we've also got a hotel and even vehicels in which we can offer you a lift.

You can view this web site with a variety of different font sizes and colour combinations - there's no "one size fits all". This Brompton folding cycle was how one of our visitors arrived at Well House Manor, and we felt it was an appropriate symbol for accessibiilty.

On our Opentalk forum, you can ask questions and get help about Open Source programming. The general and background pages are illustrated with this page which shows you a group of some of the regular contributors when they met up for Geekmas last year.


The Horses Mouth
Every day - or nearly every day - I write an technical note or more general article for pubcllication on this web site, under the title "The Horse's mouth". This image is used to illiustrate such pages as appropriate.


Onsite Training Courses
This illustration, taken at a customer's site during a private course we ran for them, is used to illustrate our onsite course pages.


Public training course
Public Training courses, where places are booked individually for one or two delegates from a number of attending organstions, are un regularly at Well House Manor. Here is a group of people attending such a course.


Regular Expressions
We produce a regular expression mousemap and give them out to all the delegates on our courses. Regular expressions are a powerful features of most of the technlogies we teach, but something that all of us need to be reminded about occasionally.
